Great People. Great food.We come down every year same time. Only place for breakfast. But the locals try to keep it quiet.

For those who miss the Pelican Diner, we have Gayle's. It's a small town feeling mom & pops restaurant that isn't the most modern or the cleanest, but the service is fast and the food is good.

Thank the stars above that there is still a real diner in St Pete! Enjoyed a great breakfast there this morning, eggs cooked perfectly, tasty , corned beef hash, endless excellent coffee, rye toast! Fresh tomatoes! Fabulous service, friendly and kind! Easy in and out with plenty of parking. Will return again!

OMGoodness! The menu said choice of potatoes..the very nice waitress said my inky choice.. "home fries". So home fries with onion it was. Well, let me tell you...Delicious. just like gramma Agnes used to make! Sliced potatoes with onions! Eggs were perfect too!

Too much breading on the fried chicken. Waitress was nice and friendly. Corn bread was dried but tasty. String beans, mashed potatoes, corn were good.

We saw a sign out front for grouper sandwich, Cole slaw and fries for 8.95 so we gave it a shot, as the grouper sandwich at our resort is 20.00! Gayle's is amazing! The 20.00 one couldn't have been better!

Great little diner in St. Pete Beach. Cash only!!They have an ATM but it charges $3.00.Food is tasty and service is with a smile. Locals are usually regulars eating here so it feels less of a tourist place and the prices are reasonable. Sunday at 8am there was still plenty of room. Parking is easy just watch out for the potholes.

The waitress was very attentive and did her job way above par. The prices for the excellent food they serve was cheap for being on the beach. I highly recommend breakfast or lunch at this hole in the wall that is a true gem.

I stopped in there and was happy with selection of food and prices. As I was eating, I noticed a sign on wall above bar area that totally offended me regarding vegetarians. I happen to be a proud vegetarian! A lot of us choose not to eat tortured decaying flesh! It is inhumane to eat animals that are raised on factory farms. I will never be back and plan to tell everyone I know to not go there. My experience​ is that those who make fun of vegetarians, are feeling guilty for eating animals but are afraid to stop.

Great no frills diner with low priced breakfast but also good quality. Cash only, but worth a visit. Join the locals.

Little hole in the wall diner with great prices and perfect breakfast food. Service was great. Didn't come for ambiance......just wanted awesome breakfast food and they did not disappoint

World's greatest bacon-cheeseburger. I swear this was the very first building constructed on the beach! Talk about "old school Florida charm". And the food here is very good and priced right. The service is awesome and this is also a great place to people watch. It draws locals and tourists alike. It's always busy but I've always managed to find a seat.

Service was a little slow, not the friendliest. The food was good, but nothing I couldn’t make at home. Wasn’t overly expensive. Was almost given the wrong food. Worth a shot if you want basic diner food on st.pete beach.

I just love this little place! The staff is old school friendly and the food is diner all the way. They only accept cash for payment btw. Great little local find in St Pere Beach...oh and breakfast is served all day for those late sleepers

Gayle's is the best diner to ever exist. The service, food, prices, and atmosphere made me feel like I was home. This is one of the last places in Florida that can instantly transport you to a simpler time. I just can't get over how great the place is. I wish they were open 24/7.

Great little diner with standard fare we went for breakfast and really liked the price and food. The waitresses were friendly and chatty it was exactly what I was expecting from a location like this.

A little slice of Americana. A classic breakfast and lunch hole in the wall where you can get a good meal for a fair price.It's not perfect, but that's what makes it special.The waitress was super friendly and hustled to take care of everyone.I'm looking forward to trying more items on their menu.

The atmosphere is "just another old diner". The food is OK...not good, not bad. On the Sunday morning I ate here they were way understaffed and doing their best to keep up. Also...it's cash only, so be prepared for that. I ended up here on account of the wait at the diner around the corner. Next time I'll wait for a table there.
